These lists are Vampires that are believed/ were once believed from various cultures and countries. This took alot of research and weeks of editing, desgining and re-wording.

ADZE -From: SouthEastern Ghana and Southern Togo (Africa).  A Vampire spirit that lives among the ewe. The Adze flies around int he form of a firefly but if caught, changes into a Human. It drinks blood, palm oil and coconut water and preys on children, especially handsome ones.

ALGUL- Nationality: Arabic.  A Vampire which translated means horse leech, or a bloodsucking Jinn. This form of Vampire is traditionally a female demon that fed upon deseased babies and inhabied cemeteries.

ALP- From: Germany.  A Vampiric spirit  linked with the Incubus,  normally, tormenting the nights and dreams of females. The creatures physical manifestation can be very dangerous. Long connected with the nightmare, the Alp is considered male, sometimes, the spirit of a recently dead relative, most often a proper demon. Children can become an Alp when the mother uses a horse collar to ease childbirth. During the middle ages, the Alp was said to appear as a pig, bird, cat or any other animal, which includes a lecherous demon dog scene in Cologne, thus linking the werewolf in with this legend. In forcing itself on its prey. The Alp drinks blood from mens and childrens nipples but prefers milk that comes from women. It is so involved in terrors of the mind and sleep the Alp is practically impossible to kill.

ASANBOSAM- From: Africa- Southern Ghana and areas of the Ivory coast and Togo. A Vampire known among the Ashanti of Southern Ghana and by people in areas of the Ivory Coast and Togo. The ASANBOSAM is thought to reside in the deep of forests, most often encountered there by hunters. It is in of general human shape, with two differences. Its teeth are made out of iron and its legs have hooks like appendages. Anyone passing by the tree in which the resides will be scooped up and killed.

ASWANG- From: Philippines. A Vampire thought to be a beautiful female in the day, and a easome flying demon in the night. The Aswang can live a normal life during the day, and at night, however, it is led to the houses of its next victims by the night birds. Its nourishment is always blood but it prefers to feed on children. The creature is recognized by its swollen form after feeding, it almost looks pregnant. If the Aswang licks a persons shadow, it is believed that the person will die soon afterwards.

BAJANG- Nationality: Malaysian. A Vampire, assumed to be Male, appearing as a cat and normally threatening children. The Bajang can be turned into a demon servant and is often handed down from generation to generation within a family. It is kept in a tabong (Which is a bamboo vessel) which is pretected by various charms. While imprisones, it is fed with eggs and will turn onto its own owner if not fed enough. The master that owns the demon can send it out t inflict harm on their enemy, the enemy usually dying soon after of an unknown disease. According to traditions, the Bajang came from the body of a stillborn child, coaxed out of it by various incantations.

Baobhan-Sith- From: Scotland. A Vampire that normally disguises itself as a beautiful maiden and lures its victims to their deaths. In fairy lore, the Baobhan-Sith usually appears dressed in green.

BEBARLANGS- From: Philippines.  A tribe whose members are thought to have practiced a form of psychic Vampirism. They apparently send out their astral bodied and fed on the life forces and vitality of the individuals.

 BHUTA- From: India.  Normally created due to the violent death of an individual. The Bhuta are found in cemeteries or in dark abandoned places, eating poo or intestines. An attack by a Bhuta, usually results in severe sickness or death!

BRAHMAPARUSH- From India.  A Vampire that enjoys eating human beings. The Brahmaparush would drink a victims blood through its skull then eat their brain their skull and  and then  wrap the victims intestines around their body and preform a ritual dance.                                                                                                                                                    

BRUXA- From: Portugal. A female Vampire, the Bruxa is normally transformed into Vampiric form by witchcraft. She leaves her home at at night in the form of a bird and her most frequent thing to do, is tormenting lost weary travelers. She is thought to appear as a beautiful maiden and leads a normal human life by day, bearing children, which in general, becomes her regular supply of Blood. She is thought to be impossible to kill.

CHORDEWA- From: Oraons. A witch capable of turning her soul into a gorm of a Vampire cat. It is thought that if the cat licks a persons lips, that they will die soon afterwards.

CHUREL- From: India.  A vengeful ghostly Vampire, normally a woman who died while pregnant during teh Dewali Festival. She is thought to hate life with her greatist spite being kept for her relatives. The Churel is thought to have vile looks, possessing pendant boobs, thick ugly lips, a black tongue and messy hair.

CIVATATEO-Nationality: Aztec.  A witchy Vampire found among the Aztecs. Thought to be a servant of various moon Gods and Godesses and assumed to be noble women who died in their childhood. Children were their favourite victims, dying soon after being attacked of a wasting disease. These Vampires were said to appear with white faces, their hands covered in white chalk and with crossbones drawn on their clothes.

DANANG- From: Filipino. Vampire help to be very old as a species, responsible for having planted taro on the islands long ago. The Danang worked with humans for a lot of years but the partnership ended one day when a woman cut herfinger and a Danag sucked her cut, loving the taste so much that it drained her body completely of blood.

DEARG-DUE-From: Ireland. A dreaded creature, whose name means "Red Blood Sucker". An ancient Vampire that goes back  to celtic times. People still fear it to this day. The only way to curb its predations is to pile stones on any grave that is suspected of containing a Vampire. The most famous tale of the Dearg-Due id the story of a beautiful lady supposedly buried in Waterford, in a small churchyard near Stronbows tree. Several times a year, she rises from her grave, and uses her beautiful appearance to lure men into their doom.

DOPPELSAUGER

EKIMMU- Nationality: Ancient Assyria and Babylonta. One of the most feared of ancient Vampires, it is found amonst the the Assyrians and Babylontans. It is thought to be a departed spirit, the soul of a dead being who is unable to find peace. The creature wondered over the earth waiting to attack. There were many ways in which a person could become an Ekimmu, these were mainly violent or premature death, unfulfilled love and improper burial.

EMPUSAS- From: Greese. A Vampiric creature from the Greek mythology whom is usually said to be in attendance to the Goddess Hecate. They are said to be Demons which can take human form every once in a while. Their most common incarnation seems to have been in the form of a Phoenician woman.

ERETICA- From: Russia.  A Vampire who is usually considered to be heretic who has returned from death. In general, they were said to be a woman who sold her soul while alive and then returns in the form of a poor old woman. A night, a group of Ereticy would gather in ravines and preform a type of sabbat.  They are supposedly only active only in spring and autumn. It was believed that seeing the eyes of a Eretica would result in a slow painful death.

ESTRIE- Nationality: Hebrew. An entity, usually [most always] female, and the shape of a Vampire. The Estrie is considered a spirit of evil that has taken upon flesh and blood to live among civilisation to satisfy its need for blood. 

GAYAL- From: India. A Vampiric entity, usually created when a human doesnt get a proper funeral for their death. When The Gayal returns, it seeks its revenge upon the sons of others, and maybe its own family. To prevent from turning into a Gayal, ensure that the death of the person is done properly.

INPUNDULU- From/Nationality: Eastern cape region of Africa. A Vampiric servant of a Witch. It is usually passed down by mother to daughter, and was used to inflict suffering on ones enemies. It is said to have an "unsatisfiable" hunger and has to be continuously let feed, and is said to take disguise as a handsom man to be a lover of its mistress.

INCUBUS- Unconfirmed- European. One of the most recognised form of the Vampires, which is the male form of a Succubus, whom visits women at night to make love with them and disturb their dreams. It is said to have all characteristic properties of a Vampire. Nightly visits to its prey, daining them of their strength and life, and has extreme sexual desire, the Incubus can father children [like the gypsy and slavic communities]

JARACACAS- From: Brazil. A Vampire who is said to appear in the form of a Snake. It feeds on the breast of a woman and by doing this, it has to push the child out of the way and to quiet it, so it shoves its tail in the childs mouth.

JIGARKHWAR- From: Region of India. A Vampiric Witch, she feeds by taking out her victims liver by her piercing stare and some words/spells. When the liver is extracted, she then cooks the liver on the fire while the victim dies.

KASHA- From: Japan. A Vampire that feeds by dragging corpses out of their grave or before they are cremated and devours them.

KUANG-SHI- From: China. A demonic Vampire whom recently died has a terrifying appearance. As it matures and learns new things, it is said to gain new skills. It is rumored to be able to fly.

LAMIA- From: Libya. According to the legend, the Lamia is the Queen of Libya and all of her children were killed by the Goddess Hera and who apparently [in revenge] still roams the earth to feed and kill infants. She is also said to persuave men into sex, and then devours them in a bloody fashion.

LANGSUIR- From: Malaysia.  A Vampire whom is said to take form of a beautiful woman. A woman can become a Langsuir if she dies in childbirth. She is said to have extremely long nails, dress in green robes and long black hair that falls down to her ankles and is said to feed off of the blood of children.

LEANHAUM-SHEE- From: Ireland.

LOBISHOMEN- From: Brazil. A Vampire who mainly feeds on women. It usually doesnt kill its victims as it only takes a small amount of blood each time. After the feed, the woman tends to  show symptoms of nymphomaniac (Attraction and sexual desire to the Vampire who fed from her)

LOOGAROO- From: West India. Said to go to a so called 'Devil-Tree' to remove its skin. It then flies around in the form of a sulfurous ball to find its victims.

LUGAT- From: Albania. A Vampire who is said to be quite harmless, only feeding a little bit off of its vicims, not actually killing them.

MARA- From: Unknown. A slavic Vampire who is also known as the Kashube in Canada. Thought to be the spirit of an unbaptized dead girl whom is said to be a terrible night visitor who crushes and oppresses her prey. In the slavic legend, once the Mara drinks the blood of a man, she will fall in love with him and return to plague his sleep until he dies. She is also thought to be fond of feeding on the blood of children. May also be Mare, a similar phenomenon found in the German legends.

MASAN- From: India. A Vampire whom is said to be the ghost of a child, which likes to torment and kill children. The Masan is said to be able to curse a child that walks in its shadow. It will also follow a woman home if her gown drags over its shoulder.

MASANI- From: India.  A female Vampire whom is said to be the spirit of burial grounds. In her appearance, she is black and her hunts happen at night, starting as she emerges from a funeral pyre (Where the corpse is cremated) and anyone who passes the burial site will be attacked by her.

MORMO- From: Greese. A vampire from Greek mythology who is said to be a servant from the Greek Goddess Hecate. Thought to be  a terrible occupant of the underworld.

MOROII- From: Romania. A living Vampire. Can be of both sexes and shows most of the charateristics of a Strigoii.

MURONI- From/Nationality: Wallachia region of Romania. It is said to have the ability to change itself into many different animal forms. While in this transition, the Muroni can kill easily.

NACHZEHE- From: Kashubes of northern Europe. This type of Vampire has the ability to kill its relatives by psychicism. While in its grave, the Vampire will begin to eat the garment in which is was buried in (Shroud) and then bits of its own flesh. This causes living relatives to slowly die.

 NELAPSI- From: Slovakia. A Vampire which can cause serious harm to mortals. The Nelapsi is said to slaughter an entire village in one visit. It is also thought to have the ability to kill with a single glance.

NEUNTOTER- From: Germany. A Vampire, who is considered to be a big carrier of plagues and is traditionally only seen during disease outbreaks.

NOSFERATU- From: Romania. A species of Vampire. It is said to be the illegitimate child of parents who are illegitimate. Soon after its burial, the Nosferatu starts a long journey of destruction. It likes to torment and enage in wild orgies with the living. The male can father the children. Nosferatu hates newly married couples due to its own illegitimacy and makes his revenge on the couples by making the groom helpless and the briden barren.

OBAYIFO- From: Ashanti people of Gold coast in Africa. A living Vampire who is said to be a male or female human and only leaves its human body at night to feed. Apparently, it is considered fond of young children and it causes blight (a disease) in plants.

OHYN- From: Poland. It is said to be caused by a baby being born with teeth or a caul (thin membrane) at birth.

 PACU PATI- From: India. This creature is said to be lord of all naughty beings. It is seen at night at cemeteries.

PELESIT- From: Malaysia. A spirit Vampire. It invades a persons body. This causes illness then eventually, death. Victims will rage while under its possession.

RAKSHASA- From: India. A Vampire whose name translates as "The Injurer". The female is thought to be  a beautiful woman who lures men to their death. In the newer legends, the Rakshasa is thought to live in trees and persuades people to vomit and causes indigestion who walk into their territory. A child will be turned into such a creature if he can be persuaded to eat human brains.

RAMANGA- From: Madagascar. A living Vampire. A servant of the older  members of the tribe. The Ramanga would consume the nail clippings and spilled blood of a trusted member of the tribe.

STREGONI BENEFICI- From: Unknown. An italian Vampire, who is thought to be on the good side and a mortal enemy of evil Vampires.

STRIGES- From: Unknown. A femail witch- Vampire whom can transform into a crow and would drink the blood of mortals [humans.] But is classified as one of the Human Living Vampires.

STRIGOII- From: Romania. The infamous dead Vampire. There are several ways to become a Strigoii. Some ways are being a seventh son and also committing suicide. It is said to be friendly to the gypsies.

SUCCUBUS- Nationality: European. A female Vampire, a demon that visits men in their sleep to torment them and engage in sexual activities.

TALAMAUR- From: Australia. A Living Vampire that can communicate with the spirit world and can make a spirit its servant, which it could then send it amoungst the living. One version of the Talamaur can send its sould out to drain the remaining life essence from fresh corpses.

TLACIQUES- From: Nahuatl indians of Mexico. Vampiric witches whom can turn into balls of flame or into a turkey. In these forms, they can feed unnoticed.

UBOUR- From: Bulgaria. A Vampire who is created when a persen experiences a violent death, or if their spirit refuses to leave their body. The corpse remains buried for forty days and then rises  to cause havoc. In general, it wont drink blood until its other sources of nourishment are gone [including normal food.] They only attack humans on rare occasions. The Urbour is thought to create sparks by its movement.

UPIER- From: Poland. A Vampire which strays from the normal traits of a Vampire. It rises at midday and returns to sleep at midnight. It is thought to have a barbed tongue and drink vast quantities of blood. The Upiers fascination with blood is much stronger than that of a regular Vampire, for it bathes in blood. It may be related to the Upir and Upyr.

UPIR- From: Ukraine. A vampire that is known for its desire to eat alot of fish. May be related to the Upier and Upyr.

UPYR- From: Russia. A Vampire who is considered to be very vicious. It will attack children first, then move onto their parents. Just like the Upier, the Upyr wakes in the day and sleeps at night. This is handy because it also has a human appearance. It is also associated with the Upir and Upier.

USTREL- From: Bulgaria.  A Vampire that preys only on cattle. It is said to be the spirit of an unbaptized child that has recently died.

UTUKKU- From: Babylonia. A Vampire spirit who is viewed as a demon. It is considered to be the spirit of a person who has recently died and that returned from the grave for some reason.

VARACOLACI- From: Romania. A Vampire that is among the most powerful of the undead. It is said to have the ability to cause lungar and solar eclipses. They appear as pale humans with dry skin. They can travel on an astral thread, the midnight spinning, traveling as far as need as long as the thread remains unbroken.

VOLKODLAK- From: Slovenia. A Vampire who is [in some ways] associated to some werewolf legends.

VOURDALAK- From: Russia. A Vampire who is considered [in Russian folklore] to be an evil yet beautiful woman.

VRYKOLAKAS- From: Adriatic and Aegean regions. A Vampire that is created in various reasons. It travels in the darkness and knocks on doors, calling the name of the person inside. If the person responds, they would die soon afterwards. It gains more powers as it grows older.

VRYKOLATIOS- From: Island of Santorini. They are described as demons which feeds on the living.

ZMEU- From: Moldavia. A Vampiric figure that can transorm into a flame and enteres the rooms of young girls or widows. Once inside, the flam becomes a man who seduces her.
